Pharmaceutical and genealogical notebook [microform]. 1492-1902.

First half of the volume contains "Memoire de plusieurs choses copieĢes par G.P.G. 1671" ("Memorandum on several matters copied by G.P.G. 1671"), a treatise in French giving recipes and instructions on many topics, including use of flowers and seeds for treatment of ailments, preserving and drying fruits, glass making and decorating, and a large section describing the use of various animal products as cures for specific complaints. The second part of the treatise deals with perfumes, and describes the use of lozenges and powders to defend against the plague, to perfume linen and gloves, and for other purposes. Includes a table of contents. The last half of the volume contains notes in French, German, and Swedish, including more pharmaceutical recipes, instructions on the use of the halberd, and genealogical notes covering the period 1754-1845. At the front of the volume are 4 pages of genealogical annotations about the Poignant family, covering the period 1492-1902.
